ok heres the deal, whever i get to about 8grand in 4th and only 4th, my s2000 seems like in chokeing, like its not talking enough air in and it just kinda cuts out, i have a AEM cold air and a spugen exaust, i checked all the clamps and their all fine, has anybody else had this problem or does anybody know what might be wrong???

If it doesn't do it in 3rd or 5th, then I have no idea what it could be. Have you verified that it does NOT do it in 5th? It may be a fuel or oil pressure problem that just doesn't show up in the lower gears due to reduced load times. Check to make sure that your oil level is topped off. Otherwise, take it to the dealer.

David B had an issue that sounded a bit like this, and it was caused by a bunch of "muck" in the oil. I think some liquid gasket was left floating around inside the engine when it was built, and it was blocking the VTEC solenoid, or something. It took quite a while for the dealer to figure it out.
