oil level

Default oil level

went to the dealer and they did my maintnence and when i went to check the oil it was half way between the H and the L on the dipstick is that ok? the dealer said it was perfect and it was fine. i checked it when the engine was cold

Anything between H and L is ok, refill as needed if you burn any oil.

Thats fine, Even at the bottom of the dipstick its only 2 qts low. Your dealer was right, thats fine.

I know from the bottom diamond to the top diamond its 1 quart. Do you mean the actual tip of the dipstick>?

you can check it after you drive and shut down the car for a couple minutes...it may be closer to the L, which is still fine, but would be a good time to top it off.
