Default My trunk release no worky

It doesn't work from either the trunk release button in the glove box or the remote. When I hit the the remote button I can hear the relay click but no open.

I replaced the trunk release solenoid with a new Honda OEM piece and it still doesn't work.

I'm guessing the whole circuit is not getting power somehow but every other electrical on the car works. It could be a blowed fruse but I can't find one.

Anyone wanna hazard a guess?

Broken wire in the trunk (the part that flexes with the hinge). Had the same issue when I bought my S2000.

Hmm that sounds like a good guess. Did you jump the wires? Mine are still in the factory loom.

If its not the wire it may be the mechanism itself. I had to replace mine not long after getting my car a few years ago.

Edit: sorry reading isnt my best. Looks like youve already done that. I believe there are a few threads on here about the broken wire if you do a search

My friend fixed it, I believe he used a multimeter to find the break in the wire and then just soldered it back together. Wish I could tell you exactly which wire it was, but it's been years so I do not recall .

Default Remote trunk release NOT working, glovebox release fine.

Hi there. My 2004 trunk release quit working with the OEM remote button, glove box button still opens trunk. When I use the remote, I can hear a relay click under the left side of the steering wheel, near fuse box, but not sure if broken wires in the trunk loom are relevant. I'm assuming (dangerous!) that the wires that activate the trunk release solenoid are shared between glove box button AND remote button. Any ideas before I have a look at the trunk wiring loom?

TIA,
Jeremy
