Default MY03 steering issues

Hi,

Recently my steering has been acting up where it is normal to steer left but hard to steer right. Also when steering left and then let go, it doesn't fully go back to the center position.

I have tried to do the torque sensor reset as per the manual p17-45 but trying to short pins 4 and 9 doesn't seem to work as the EPS light stays on unlike what the manual says.

Even took it to our local honda dealer, plugged the tester to the DLC port and shorted the SCS, but still nothing happens.

Has anyone faced this issue with torque reset before? any feedback would be appreciated.

If all else fails, is it a good idea to buy a steering rack off ebay? as my local dealer wants $1,200 for a new rack.

Thanks

Any idea atleast why shorting pins 4 & 9 isn't working? The EPS light does not go off after 4 seconds as per the manual.

I had exactly the same issues with the steering rack. Easy to turn to left, heavy when turning to the right.
I did the torque-sensor reset as described in the manual and that fixed it.
The shortcut of the diagnostic-plug (blue) worked fine for me (MY00).
