Update: Caspers says they're pretty sure they've fixed the problem. Seems they needed to run the unit at far lower voltage than they exected. In any case, the "new" (and they claim "finished") unit is on its way. I'll let you know if it works, for those of you who are following this thread and haven't gone out and bought the Diablo unit.

How will the Caspers unit differ from the Diablo unit? If the Caspers unit is not "better", is it cheaper, or easier to install? Why should someone pick the Caspers unit over the Diablo unit, whether it works or not?

Some answers:
1. If the CEL stays off, then the simulator works. End of story. That's all it does. The rear O2 sensor does NOTHING, other than turn the CEL on (if the cat isn't present or isn't functioning propery when present). Having a simulator on its own will NOT affect power, although removing the cat may (on a turbo car, it probably robs 15-20whp). Hence, no dyno required, Pink.
2. I don't know this for a fact, but I'd guess that both the Diablo and the Caspers unit are easily wired into the car. The Caspers unit taps into the hot wire and ground wires that lead to the rear O2 sensor. I've zip-tied the unit itself to the tranny. Neither are "plug and play" in the sense that you're simply adding a connector to the ECU, but both are pretty easily installed and all of the work is done under the car.
3. The only person (whom I know) who's tried the sensor is Rieger328Ci. He claims it works (see above).

Cat removal ROBS HP on a Turbo? Your kidding right? If that is true then why in the world do these people put 3.5" exhausts on the SUPRA's to get extra HP. Turbo's want as LITTLE back pressure as possible. A SC or NA you want SOME back pressure to keep things from fluttering. Or was that just a typo?
