Default Need Advice On Springs

Just purchased my first mod for my S. Springs from Jeff Do I need to get a all wheel alignment when I install them. By the way I've been lurking around here for about a year and this is by far the best site I've been on for info.

Thanks

From what I understand, you do not need an alignment for moderate drops (2" and less), I didn't get one.

?!?! no!
If drop is more than 0.5inch I would get alignment no matter what.
BTW 2inch drop is big drop esp on s2k. 2inch drop from stock is low enought to make wheel tuck in slightly. Rear will have too much neg camber.

If you touch the suspension, you are going to need an alignment. But don't just go to some jenky place and get it done. There are 3 parts to an alignment; the camber, the caster, and the toe in/out. If you don't want to have your tires wear out real fast you must get your camber and toe in adjusted. Since you have an s2, and adjustable camber and toe comes with the car. Civics and integras and most other cars don't have that very nice feature. You won't need to adjust the caster unless you slammed into a curb or something, that is what most people think is an alignment. The caster pretty much just aligns your steering. So make sure you go somewhere that can and knows how to adjust your camber and toe with the correct specs. If you don't know just call your Honda dealer and they'll tell you the specs.
