Default Need a Cat for emissions tests

I have a test pipe and Invidia N1 exhaust on my '03 S2k right now. My old cat is welded to the old exhaust.

Question: would it be cheaper to buy a bolt on cat for emissions inspections? Or should I cut out the old cat and have someone weld some fittings on it to make it bolt on?

So labor vs buying.... If it's cheaper to buy a bolt-on cat, which one would be the best one to buy?

Thanks!!

I’d think I’d be easier to buy a used oem cat from someone and put that on. Also makes swapping it easier. I see them for sale for ~$100-150 all the time.

Yeah, that's sounds like the right way to go. Thanks! Sorry for asking, but where do you see them for sale? I've found some on eBay for $100. Just wondering if that's what you mean.
