Default need help choosing gauges........

I am about to order some gauges and an sos pilar to put them in...so far I think i am going to go with the Defi BF gauges....(i was originally going to get the greddy gauges, because they light up orange and match the dash).....since I can only put 2 guges on the pilar, which 2 should I get....my car in NA....I was thinking water temp and oil pressure.......but im not sure if thoose are the most important......what do you guys recomend?

Thanx

For NA, I think your choices are fine. The stock water temp gauge really doesn't tell you much. It's nice to know in the summer's heat, how hot your engine really is. I've reached almost 230 degrees on 3 bars. When I get near 220, I make sure the A/C is on to run the second fan. This keeps things a bit cooler. The gauge tells me when to do this.
The oil light on the dash also does very little. It will not come on until you have minimal oil pressure - waaaay too low for my comfort. You will still have adequate oil pressure with only 2 quarts of oil in the car (unless you are driving at high rpm) and the light won't come on. However, with an oil pressure gauge, even though you'll still be down 2 to 3 qts, the gauge will begin to fluctuate. This will be your telltale sign that something is not right. It may give you the safety margin that you need. And since this car is well known to use oil and some folks are a bit tardy about checking it .......................... well, you see what I'm getting at.

ps. If you need "How To's" on the pillar pod and the Defi, I've got 'em linked in "Commonly Asked Questions" stickied at the top of UTH.

Check out the SPA guages in the SOS site under the NSX stuff. I am doing those.
Since the guages are doubled up you can do 4.

Oil temp is usually closely associated with water temp and unless you are tracking the car, I don't see this as a better choice over oil pressure (since you had a limit of 2 gauges). I think you are talking about an Exhaust Gas Temp gauge. This is not necessary for NA applictions. Neither is a wideband A/F gauge for NA. I'm supercharged and I only run a narrow band gauge. Wide bands are very expensive and unless you are using your gauge to tune a FI car, it's quite an expenditure. Besides, if you are tuning such a car, it should be done on a dyno.
Of course, in a perfect world, you could line your whole dash with every possible gauge you desire.
