So I over reved and now the compression is way off still runs good but i am going to pull off the head and just rebuild it. The car has 130k on it also. So i was wanting advice on how to rebuild all oem parts? this car will be daily driven with a few mods exhaust and intake pretty much is all. so please post your thoughts.

you can replace all oem parts with oem parts.

what was the damage?

i'm assuming you would replace all your valves and valve guides and retainers and keepers.

did you do a leakdown? you should probably do that before you pull the head.

after you pull the head, the head shop can tell you the extent of your damage.

I haven't done a leak down test yet. but i am nervous that i may have cracked a retainer or something. but i plain on just putting oem in i have read that ap2 retainers are better but i will leak down test it and go from there i guess..

stop driving if your compression is low. you risk further damage if a valve drops.

leakdown will give your further insight as to the damage location.

regardless you will be taking the head off and having a head shop inspect and repair.
