Default Need help identifying CEL!

I've been having problems with my car staring on a cold start and have been trying to figure out anything that will hopefully fix it. So far no luck..... I did notice today when I turned the ign. on, after about 20 seconds the CEL started blinking. I looked under the CEL sticky but found nothing about this. The CEL wire is not grounded. It blinked 5 long blinks. No short ones. Can anyone identify this for me? CEL is not on once it is started. Thanks.

Can post a video if you really need to see what I am talking about.

Did you pull the code? The CEL thread says to pull the code and post it so that people could help you. As for the blinking CEL, guess it's catastrophic. But other than that? I'm sure we'll need the CEL code.

It dosent throw any codes when hooked up to a scanner. Just wondering why it blinks when the ign. is on after 20 secs.. Its 5 long blinks. As far as being catastrophic, dont think so, runs perfectly fine once its started.

So the light isn't on. But it's blinking. I'm confused?

Vid is being posted.

The light comes on when you turn the ign. on after 20 secs it blinks 5 long times. Once you start the car, it goes away. Is not pulling any codes.

There is nothing wrong with your car, it's the normal operation to tell a technician that all the readiness codes have not completed.

To check if the readiness codes are set, turn the ignition switch ON (II), but do not start the engine. The MIL will come on for 15-20 seconds. If it then goes off, the
readiness codes are set. If it blinks several times, one or more readiness codes are not set to complete.

The PCM runs readiness codes all the time checking the various systems. They don't run at the same time, it takes multiple drive cycles and multiple driving conditions to finish all of them.

Some of them are not complete.
