Default Need help on lining up arrow/triangle lca bushing

After removing the Compliance bushings and cleaning Front Lower Control Arm , I inadvertently removed my paint mark to line up the new bushings before pressing it in. I remember it pointed towards the lower ball joint , but thats all that i can recall. Is there a definitive way to line this up??

Thanks,

Bill

Easy, the gaps in the bushing are parallel to the car. That is where the arm articulates, so solid bushing is in the front and rear, gaps on the side.

To be more clear these are Mugen bushings. Your response makes sense however the bushings which were factory installed were not installed like you said with the openings on the sides. They were NOT exactly on the side but were in the approx. 2 o'clock and and 8 o'clock position. In addition there is a yellow dot on one side of the new bushing to which I don't know what it is for?? Unfortunately the directions that came with them are in Japanese.

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

Here I snapped some pics of a stock control arm with stock bushing installed hopefully this gives you a sense of what angle you need to install it in. Next time, use a punch to mark the arm

I am well aware and thankful to Slowcrash for his time and effort . It makes sense to position as he has described. I just don' t know if there is any significance to the yellow dot on One Side of the new Mugen Compliance Bushing. Do you?

Thanks for the link, appreciate it. So I looked on google apps for camera translator....Japanese to English....downloaded it.....took pic of Mugen Japnese instructions...which in less than 10 secs. translated the directions to English and nowhere does it describe yellow dot...so I guess there's no purpose.. the interweb amazes me!
