well depends...if you've had your clutch changed there is a high likelihood that they snapped the knock sensor....or maybe it broke by itself but that's pretty unlikely

you just have to get a new knock sensor ($130) and get it installed

Or pay 40 bucks for a 03 k20 civic sensor.

I'd make whoever did the clutch fix your sensor. I think breaking things while doing work on a car is totally unacceptable. Anyone with s2k experience knows about the knock sensor.

They broke it with the extension while working on the upper starter bolt.

Given the higher compression motor used in the S2000 I would think that it would be calibrated differently than lower compression Honda motors but that is just my guess. There might be a resistance test in the shop manual for the sensor, might be a good first step in testing it.

The primary factor while estimating knock frequency is cylinder bore. All the aftermarket detection systems that I have looked at are customized to cylinder bore, or tuned empirically for a specific engine.

The K20 has a bore that is 1mm smaller. This might be enough to upset things...
If the sensors are two different part numbers i wouldn't risk it.
