the car is a 2002. entirely stock.. just got it a couple weeks ago..

the car always ran perfect with the a/c off but when i turned the a/c on, maybe once or twice a minute the car would vibrate loudly.. the vibration lasts for about 2 seconds i'd say ..

yesterday i drove the car about 230 miles.. when i got off the highway and stopped at a light, the vibrating started, but this time the air was off.. if i touch the gas and let go, when the rpm's drop back down it almost always vibrates for a second..
anyone know what's goin on with my car?

also, im assuming its the cluth, but to start off i have to rev the car atleast to 1700 rpm to get goin otherwise it'll rattle and try to stall..

any ideas or advice will be very appreciated.. thanks..

 

No CELs?

Might be motor mounts...but just guessing without being able to see the car.

 

iac valve is dirty maybe?

 

no misfire?
sparkplug?
ignition?

Start with the CEL first.

 

there's no CEL.

it happends when there car is just sitting still so it cant be the motor mounts.

maybe the aic valve.

im getting it looked at by a mechanic today.

^^Motor mounts can still be the culprit even if car is sitting still.

 

hmmm.. could it be the motor mounts if it really only happens when the air is on?
