Default Need some help changing locks

Hi, all. I just bought a used 05 S2000 with 46K miles. It was a salvage title (theft recovery) so I got a good deal on it.

Whoever stole the car stripped out the whole interior and the guy I bought it from replaced everything. I have an issue now where the key for the car only works in the ignition- not the glove box, doors or trunk. I want to buy new locks and have them rekeyed for my current key. Is this something any locksmith can do or does it need to be done at a dealer?

Could anyone point me to a few DIYs on how to replace the cylinders? The closest I could find was a DIY on replacing the door windows but it doesn’t show me the cylinders.

It sounds like you have the valet key. A Honda dealer may be able to create a new "master" key for you that will work on the doors, glove box, etc. You will have to show proof to the dealer that you own the car (bring your title, registration, insurance, drivers license, etc. with all names matching).

Ass CoolGuy094 said, I'm guessing you have a gray key. Using your VIN, you should be able to get a dealer to cut and program the a black key with the proper profile so it will work everywhere. If you do, let us know how much they are charging.
