Default Need some OEM sway bar help

Ok, so I just purchased some OEM 01 sway bars from the forum to put on my 02 s2k. The 00-01 are thicker than any other years, therefore increasing handling, which is why I got them. Well here is my question, would I need to get the matching stabalizer bush for that year, or can I just use the one that I take off of MY02 with it. The part number is here 52315-S2A-013 on majestic. Something tells me no, but I ask you for your advice, facts, suggestions and opinions. Thanks.

If your MY02 sway bar is 26.5mm in dia, and the one you just bought is 28.2mm, then IMO yes.
IOW, you need a matching pair of bar and bushing.
I don't think you will get a 28.2 mm bar in a 26.5 mm bushing.
Even if you manage it will have an influence on how the sway works.
A 26.5 bar in a 28.2 bushing will ratlle like hell... obviously.

having put new bushings on both of my bars I can tell you there is not one bit of extra room in the bushings (which is good) so there is no way to get them to fit if they aren't the right size opening.

Yes, get the right bushings for the right size bar.
