i ment the threds inside the tranny, the bolt won't tighten.... so it needs a new tranny case. how long does a clutch last anyways?

It all depends on the driver. Some folks on s2ki have their stock clutches go over 100k miles.

this is kinda the same case as when doing a timing belt/water pump job. might as well change it while you're in there and save on some labor. you can always save your current clutch to use in an emergency if you need it.

personally, i have a fidanza 3.2 clutch kit in my prelude and love it. very very driveable, but a bit more grip and some heat resilency/fade resistance because it is kevlar. i also have their 8lb flywheel.

good luck!

if i were u i would change out the clutch since u are taking the tranny out any way. and u can sell your old clutch or keep it for spare.

I love the feel of my 8lb flywheel in my prelude. feels great, engine revs quick making for easier rev matching. takes a bit of getting used to at first, you will stall a few times. but after the first few starts, you will definetly get the hang of it and love it.
