Default 'new' car maintenance recommendations?

just got an 06 with 34k miles on it and i'm wondering what type of things i should replace now just to be on the safe side of things?
i am already going to schedule something with 00mugens2 to change my diff, brake, and clutch fluids (maybe the engine oil as well).

any other suggestions on what i should get done with the miles it has on it right now? thanks :]

34K is nothing. Change the fluids (don't forget the transmission) and whatever else needs changing. Check the maintenance schedule.

Retorque the rear axle/hubs before it kills your wheel bearings

Grease the clutch pedal pin, slave piston and fork. Check clutch master for leaks?

Check softtop straps?

Change all of the fluids. Engine, Tranny, Diff, Clutch, Brake. (leave the coolant alone, just make sure it's the Honda coolant (blue) and there's enough of it).

Replace engine air filter and cabin filter. Check the Serpentine belt, it may need to be replaced as well.

Check/replace brake pads as needed.

Battery should still be OK. If your cluster doesn't flicker out when you crank the car over, the battery is fine (A little dim is fine, but if you lose the display then it's bad).

Grease the softtop seals with Shin-Etsu grease. Might as well grease the door and trunk seals while you're at it.

Maybe run some injector cleaner through the gas tank (BG 44K for example).

my 06 with 30k miles needed valve adjustment and coil packs were cracked < so that's what I would check :-) and of course Honda used wrong diff fluid so I changed that as well

Recommend the Owner's manual for service intervals. Then do the obvious (fluid changes, valve adjustments, spark plugs, etc) if others that owned your S2K did not follow the recommended service requirements.

Happy servicing.....
