New car new problems
Hi all,
Just bought myself a s2000 from year 2000 2 days ago. When i was test driving the car in a low gear and accelerated i felt a vibration in the rear part of the car. I have used the search and it seems like my inner cv joints are the problem. The car is lowered 2 inches but, i will put the original springs back. Will this solve the problem??
My 2nd problem is a noise from under the shifter. Seems like the bearing is on his end. Also got grinding from 2-3 gear(changed oil today but didn`t help anything). Seems like i can better get a new gearbox? Is there any difference on a 2008 and 2004 gearbox. I can get a 2008 box with 30km on it, still waiting for a price.
Cheers

The vibration will not go away if u raise it back up, let new tranny oil break in for a couple hundred miles and see what happens, the ap2 tranny has better syncros and a different gear ratios.

Also my car is import from california. I live in the Netherlands and we got 3 kinds on gasoline
Euro ron 95
V-power ron 97
Super ron 98
Should i notice any difference with the super 98?? It`s a little more expensive tho.

If the vibration is under hard acceleration then it's most likely that there is a inner CV bucket issue. Unless the previous owner already did so, you can just swap the CV buckets.
