From this photo, it looks like those bolts have been removed, before (rounded edges). My guess is the previous owner(s) had same leak problem and tried to tighten (over-tighten?) them. You prolly need new gaskets for the covers. Then, clean, refit, and properly torque that oil pressure switch? Along with Billman's tensioner.

Because it will further degrade a gasket that already has a leak, causing a larger leak and potentially creating new leaks from the other gaskets it ruins, as well as work its way into the engine oil from said leak(s).

Its not compatible with most rubber or plastic. And the chlorinated kind can stain aluminum.

It also removes paint.

And is flammable AF.

It's really just the ultimate destroyer. Which is why it works great on cleaning isolated, relatively indestructible metal parts (namely brake rotors).

I won't use Simple Green anywhere there are aluminum parts -- like the S2000 engine. It's known to cause galvanic reaction with steel parts, like the nuts and bolts. At least on aircraft (where failure to fly is an emotional event).

I’m going to go the diluted dish soap rout with a little bit of elbow grease. Hopefully it scrubs out.

I also ordered the vtec solenoid gaskets. So hopefully with a new TCT & gasket will solve the problem. We’ll find out soon.

Thanks!!

Finally got the oils cleaned up a bit today & started the car to check for leaks. Sounded good at start up, no strange knocking or ticking, & no warning lights.

Noticeable leak from VTec solenoid. Nice steady drops of oil just idling the car. My guess is when I actually hit Vtec in 1st & 2nd oil just went spraying.

My new gaskets & filter should be here early next week so hopefully this solves the problem.

If the filter is loose this would undoubtedly cause a mess in the engine bay. Good move going with oem filter
