Default New car service manuals unavailable

Went to do a brake change on my 2012 CR-V and found out that Honda is not making service manuals and neither is Helms for newer cars. They also stated that they offer independent shops a service to access their manuals. Is this correct information?

You can find what you want on eBay. I picked up an 09 2nd edition maintenance manual and electric manual for $120. I like paper books much better than flipping around on my iPad.

Not sure about the new cars. Everything in the cockpit is all electric now (no paper) so cars should not be far behind. It is the way the world is going. Thank God for AAA paper maps.

You can look for the Ap1 service manual on any torrent site.

Found the information from the dealer, they are using alldatadiy.com for their manual. Hard copy is unavailable but for about $10 a year you can have access to the information.
