Default New clutch

Just replaced the clutch, but the pedal is still really easy to press down. The clutch needed to be replaced but I thought when I did the pedal would get its stiffness back also. Is that a different problem? Is that the pressure plate? Help please
Thankyou
Drew

sounds like you need to rebleed your clutch line, must be some air trapped in there.

What kind of clutch was installed?

New OEM pressure plates don't require near as much force as a worn high mileage part.

If it's an OEM disc the pedal effort won't be much. Go to a dealer and compare your car to a brand new one. If it's the same that's your answer.

There is also no need to open the clutch hydraulic system to install a clutch. Directions on how to bleed are in the FAQ.

cool thanks. I just remember when the car was new, the clutch was more difficult to press, now that it has been around the block a few times (65k miles), the clutch gives pretty easily. I thought with new install, I would have that feel back, but...if it doesnt make much difference, Im not going to mess with it. Ill check out the FAQ on bleeding the clutch...if that doesnt work, Ill let it be. Thanks again.
