New coilovers... need alignment?
I read on a WRX forum that a four wheel alignment should be performed after installing new coilovers. How much does it usually cost?
I also plan on upgrading to a new set of wheels and tires from the AP1 wheels I'm currently running once the tires wear out. Would I need to get another alignment after installing the new wheels?
I'm just wondering if it makes more sense to upgrade the coilovers, wheels, and tires all at once.
Thanks

The alignment will not be changed by changing the wheels. If you are planning on running some wider wheels or wheels with a different offset than stock, then an alignment(camber) may be necessary to get the tires/wheels to fit under the wheel arches.
Id wait for the wheels if I were you. Plus it gives the coilovers time to settle so you can get the ride height set. Get the ride height set before getting the alignment because change in ride height equals change in camber.
Yes, 4 wheel alignment after coilover install.
1) install coilovers
2) set ride height
3) drive several hundred miles over the span of 1-2 weeks
4) get 4 wheel alignment
5) pay $120-200, depending on the shop
