Default New S2000, new issues, ticking, CEL, stalling

A mate of mine has purchased himself an s2000, which is always good to see.
But after lots of searching and trying different things we are still teased with these same issues.
  • The engine is making a ticking noise kind of light and sounds to be around the head area, just incase he has installed AP2 retainers and done a valve adjustment. still ticking, thinking it might be injectors seems to be coming from there or around there.
  • Secondly is a Rev dipping or near stalling, when I blip the throttle in nuetral or in gear with the clutch the engine revs drop so low the Tachometer doesnt even register as if it stalled but it sputters up just in time not to, really makes riding the clutch scary in parking lots when doing 3 point turns etc.
  • Lastly there is a CEL when we short the pins it blinks 2 quick flashes. 0-2 in older hondas this would mean seconday O2 sensor. So the sensor has been changed but is light still there, the car has had a High Flow cat since purchased. When I checked the CEL code thread, it does not list a blink code for 0-2, on top of this most of the guys with test pipes and HFC's say they experience code p0420 (blink code 6-7).
for each issue we have tried something and we have been researching but really stumped now.
Hoping some of you guys might have some ideas!

These are "clicky" engines with 16 mechanical valve lifters/cams and fuel injection. You should compare to another car to see if your's sounds normal.

My new s2k is significantly louder then my last one. I have just disregarded it as noisy injectors, you can try getting them cleaned or replacing them. But if it is in fact noisy injectors it doesn't hurt anything and not worth all the effort and money to me. Not sure on the CEL though as this would be a non issue.
