Default NEW SPRINGS! RS*R TI2000 Titanium Springs!

Ok everyone,

I just received shipment on the new RS*R TI200 springs. These springs are part titanium, something new to the car industry. From the website, RS*R describes the springs as:

"The lowering spring has been around for ages. But the materials, treatments and technology to which each spring is made from has now taken a new turn. With cutting edge technology, the Ti2000 springs are composed of titanium, providing weight reductions of 25% compared to the traditional lowering spring. Along with weight reductions, the Ti2000 springs have improved resistance to corrosion, spring strength, and responsiveness."

I had the springs installed today, and just drove home on them. Its kinda dark, so i took some night shots of the car. I will have day time pics up tomorrow. After a couple of days, I will do a full review on them.

Specs on the springs:

Lowering 20mm front/35mm rear, or .8/1.4
Spring rate 4.68kg front/5.95kg rear, or 262/332

The specs on the TI2000 springs are the same as the RS*R Down Springs.

I noticed that compared to other spring mfg, the RS*R springs lower a bit more in the rear. This eliminates the "rake" look of the more linear drops that the other mfg's have. I like how now the car sits very level to the ground.

And for the pics:

Rear 3/4:

More Pics and full review to come!

The front shot makes the rear look really saggy but it doesn't look as bad from the rear angle. I like the stance of the S in stock form and think a set of springs that kept the same ratio would look nice. Lowering the rear almost twice as the front much seems to be a bit more than I'd like personally. I did see them on ebay for $100 so if the day shots look better and possibly once they settle and the rear end doesn't look so droopy, maybe I'd consider. Thanks for the pics and intro though.

The spring rates seem pretty low for that much of a height reduction. It seems like you will be bottoming out or rubbing a lot more.

gernby - the rates are designed by RS*R for the TI2000 springs are made for the street enthusiast. The ride quality is fantastic. I also have not rubbed one bit.
