If the mech uses the "right" TDC -the Ignition TDC, not the Overlap TDC- its far from any timing issues.

he said they just put the head back on.. there is a small chance that everything wasnt lined up right when the head went back on...

that will throw all the numbers off

yea...

so OP said the headgasket was replaced but the engine still didn't run right. no air from valves or exhaust but there was no mention of the radiator cap. the leakdown test should be redone w/ the radiator cap removed. if the water bubbles, the headgasket wasn't installed right.

The restart is likely the AEM, good advice given earlier. I cannot believe for a sec that it is 50%, the dipstick should fly out, PCV etc. Something simple is wrong.

I hope its just something simple.

gonna re-do the leak down and the compression test this weekend.

I tired to use the stock computer but it was the same..hard to start.
