Default Noise from exhaust

Quick/short one for you guys today.

A constant pop-pop-pop-pop sound coming from underneath the car / the exhaust when the engine is warmed up after a drive. I can't hear it from the inside, only when I get out and stand on the side of the car (closer to the back than the front), and from behind the car.

Now, a quick search revealed a partial excerpt from a thread that this is indicative of a leak at the catalytic converter, but the thread is no longer viewable.

Is my google-diagnosis correct? Can anyone back this information up?

Normal... it's just the converter cooling off.

Sorry for leaving out that the engine is running, and that the pop-pop-pop can best be described as metal-to-metal contact.

Honda mechanic said it was okay too. Just wanted to add the above information for posterity.
