Default Clicking Noise after long drive

So after a long drive I hear this clicking noise after I shut off the engine. It's relatively loud and easily heard from outside. It's been doing for as long as I can remember but seems to be getting louder recently. Anybody have any ideas?

The same thing happens to mine after a long drive. From what others have told me, it's normal. Something regarding the exhaust or cat expanding/contracting as it cools down.

I always thought it was just oil or other fluids dropping down inside the engine or transmission.

You sure you aren't just hearing the normal sound of metal expanding and contracting that you hear after driving nearly any high performance car?

Well if it is the exhaust contracting, then the noise should get much louder as your ear gets closer to the exhaust. Try and track the noise down.

I believe I hear this sound on my gsr after a long drive, but it never bothered me until I noticed it on my S. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
