Default Noise from the transmission (help)

Hey everyone,

Yesterday i was driving MY00 home and i notice a weird noise
I notice it happens when accelerating past 4K.
It doesn't happen before 4K, and it doesn't sound like it does it when decelerating.
It will do it no matter what throttle % i am at.
but at higher RPM it becomes harder to hear due to the intake/exhaust

I know its not a clutch buzz, I definitely know what that sounds like.

Last weekend i did take the car to the track.
That is the only really ab-normal situation the car has been.
I did abuse the car a little (launching at 6k) but it was fine for the whole week.
but i am sure the car can take that abuse.

The car is fairly stock (see sig for mod's)

The noise isn't loud at all, it sort of sounds like something is rattling
but i cant see how it can happen in every gear at a certain RPM.

I am going to double check the tranny fluid tomorrow
It currently has Redline MT-90 tranny fluid.

The sound is coming from the tranny tunnel (under the center console)
I tired to rev it while it is parked, and i hear it slightly.
but not as loud, as if i was under a load.

Any opinions, comments, advice appreciated

Your heat shield could be loose. Get under there, and bang on the exhaust a little, and see if you can find something loose.

Try to lift up your car and throw it in first. Then see if it's making the noise. At least that'll narrow down the problem a little bit.

Like put the car on a left of some sort, and have it on.. then accel... and try to locate the noise?

Some what unsafe... but i am first going to check every thing under the car.
Maybe even take my headunit out to make sure there is nothing in the center console.

It just doesnt make sence, i have had the car for going on a year now, and this just started yesterday.

The crazy thing is.. it started on the day i told a guy at my job i would sell it to him.
He came back to day to tell me he got approved for the loan.

So i would like to fix this before i sell him the car. which is ASAP)

So please any advice will be great.
