hello,

My s2000 has some noises coming from the center console area that don't sound normal. I have done some searching and have not found a solid answer. I have a video of the symptoms; there is a whine/rattle present at all rpms on acceleration and a chatter at partial throttle. The noises are more pronounced in person.

Any insight would be appreciated.

* I did have my clutch done by a reputable shop about 3000 miles ago. I noticed the noises before the work, but it has become more pronounced.

* shifter does feel sloppy at times

* when downshifting or upshifting especially at lower speeds, there is an occasional clunking sound from the trans/diff. (happens more often than normal)

* loud ticking noticeable at 3000 rpm, I suspect it to be the injectors

Did you try another tranny fluid? I've been using Royal Purple Synchromax.

 

I'll give the royal purple a try. I have heard good things about synchromax. I was planning on doing the trans fluid soon anyways.

 

My s2k is making the same noise! Did you figure what the problem was?
