Default Noisy AC fan/blower

Hello....I have an '06 and I noticed this morning that the fan became very noisy. It sounds like it needs some WD40 or some other lube.

Is this easy to get to or will I need to bring it in somewhere?

Bump.

It is still making noise. Checked the AC filter...looks clean. Its definitely the fan because when I turn it off the noise disappears. Soon as I turn it back on its pretty loud and squealy.

is this the same squeal you hear on old beater cars that keep on squealing?? usually they keep going till they reach about 20mph or so if they are squealing at stop lights. i think it is a belt.

What fan is making noise. The underhood one by the radiator and condensor or the blower motor under the pass side dash? Was your ac micron filter loose? Has it been replaced before? Sometimes debris will find its way to the blower motor and make some odd noises.

Its definitely AC related (motor, blower, ducting.)

I've noticed a lot of spiders in my garage lately...I think a little bugger got in there somehow and is the proverbial ghost in the machine. Pissing me the **** off is what its doing.

does the noise disappear as you turn off the AC or the blower?

I have an 06 and it makes the same noise you are describing. It only makes it when the ac is on.

Take the blower motor out and check for debris inside the motor's fan cage.
