Default NooB need help

Hey guy I'm new the s2k scene I love my s2k and everything. I recently just bought an 03 New Formula Red s2k with about 109k on it. The problem is that it drive fine and everything but when I come to a stop at a light the car sometime blogs and just complete shut off on me and I would have to start it again. I don't know what the problem is? It doesn't happen all the time when I'm at a stop light, but it would happen like 3-4 times a day.

Thanks

Replace your map sensor and reset the ecu. Please use the "search" there are tons of threads about this.

Thanks, I would try that. If it's the MAP sensor would there be a check engine light? Because there no check engine light or anything, and I scan it with a diagnostic test nothing came up.

Before you waste money on a MAP sensor, try doing a few things to see if it fixes it. I would do the MAP whack, clean the IAC Valve, and put a zip tie to help hold the connector onto the map sensor. Also using some electrical spray cleaner on the connectors wont hurt to make sure you got a nice clean connection.

I have seen people that have had problems with their MAP sensor and it did not throw a CEL. If it has dirt build up or anything like that on the actual sensor, it could be giving bad signals to the ECU causing it to run crappy. Doing the MAP Whack should knock loose any dirt inside of it, and make the sensor read properly.

So yes the first things you should try imo are the map whack and clean the IAC valve to see if that helps at all, then reset the ECU after you do this.
