I have this as well on my '03. I've never tried wiping the residue off as it's a really small spot and it looks caked over (read: old and no longer leaking). I've read a few other posts on here about this same issue. I don't think it's anything to be concerned with.

 

I have it too! havent done anything to correct the issue though. maybe its because im using synthetic oil.

Your engine will consume far more oil than will seep from the cylinder head at this location.

I would continue to clean that area and monitor it weekly. Its unlikely to fail catastrophically, but you need to watch it.

Im with Slow, more oil will be lost elsewhere.

Might be worth seeing if the bolts will pull up a bit - but if it was me I would leave it - might make it worse.

I have this problem, A lot of cars usually do. I wipe it down every few months. Unless I see drips of oil, I wouldn't be to concerned
