Default Is this normal?

hey guys quick question.. i picked up the s2000 bout a month ago and since i had it when im leaving from a stop it seems that i need to rev the car an awful lot just to leave from a stop and ride the clutch a good amount to prevent it from stalling.. (no im not new at driving stick) and the car only has 36k miles on it.. im thinking the spark plugs need to be replaced.. or is this just a normal thing for s2000s to need a lot of reving to move from stop. almost as if the car hesitates 1-2k rpms

and when im on a hill i feel like an asshole reving the piss out of it and riding the shit out of the clutch

any input would be great guys thanks!

i definitely notice that i have to give the S2000 a little more gas from a dead stop than a lot of other cars. there is just no torque at low RMP.

i think you might have an aftermarket clutch such as stage 3 or stage 4 clutch. how far out do you have to let the clutch pedal? u should try slowly releasing the clutch pedal and try to feel when it starts to grab without adding gas.

lets out high like stock.. when i slowly let it out with no gas i practicly have to be on a downwards slope to not stall

If i let the clutch out slow enough i dont even have to give the car any throttle at all. Sosounds a little strange to me.

Same with me. When my car is warmed up though and shifting is smooth like butter I also feel that I have to give it a little more gas than when I first start the car. Might just be the super low end tq though.

Check your throttle cable. I use to have this problem too then I adjusted my cable so it was tight and my problem went away. Now my throttle response is very peppy I love it. I had my buddy do the same thing to his s and it fixed his problem as well ...worth a shot.

I had a SOS ultra light weight flywheel that would act exactly like that. I put the stock one back in. It was great at the track, stop and go traffic sucked. Do you know if any work had been done on it?
