In regards to comment about "thermal protection switch". If I've proven power to the AC clutch and no go when (hot),but fine when all cooled off how can it not be anything other then the clutch internals failing? Should I also source a TP switch as well to be safe when replacing these bits?

Dunno. I presume the thermal protection switch is some type of thermocouple unit. These things have failed or not worked properly on other devices.

Just a thought. You prolly can test it with a volt meter, while heating the device.

A/c clutch relays go bad. If doesnt turn on. No power will get to compressor. Fast easy check is to swap relay with horn relay. They are the same.

Rossco tested direct power to clutch when everything in engine bay was hot and no click so that bypassed the relay all together.
