do you think this problem can be solved simply by adding half shaft spacers? or is the damage done?

yeah once the damage is done it is done. reportedly putting in the spacers just stops future damage.

and your hub nuts only need retourquing when you hear that clicking noise but that wont solve your problem you described
Good point, the vibration means something is damaged (CV's most likely)

since i am booked for the next 6 weekends with honey do's and other non-FUN(S2K) related stuff, i might just pick up some spacers since it just started yesterday and see if i can hold it off until i have a sat to put my stock springs in.

i dont think so but you can give it a try, I know some buddies with the spacers and they claim little to no noticable difference

Here is the bottom line, all S2000 have weak inner cv joints that is why they have a tsb for it, however when you lower the car it seems to wear them out even faster. So if you were to install the spacer today you would keep the cvs the way they are, whats done is done. what i would do if I were you is take springs out, go to dealer have them do tsb then put springs back in followed by the spacer kit and you shouldnt have a problem.

Side note I use to be all freaked out about this problem as well but over time i realized that it is very very common on our cars.
