Default Odometer Investigation

Just want to make sure my odometer hasn't been rolled back. I'd like your thoughts on this. Bought this car a last month or so with 5300 miles on it. It's an '06 NFR. After checking he valves, I found cyl #1-1 slightly tight, 1 slightly loose, cyl #4 1 slightly loose. So only 3 valves were very slightly out. I'm pretty sure I could have left them as they were but I was already in there. I also have a slight tick on cold start. 5 ticks and it stops. All intake valves were in spec. This led me to believe sense most AP2 exhaust valves get tight pretty quickly that the miles were true. It appeared that none of the bolts had evidence of wear that I could tell. Secondly, the interior looks flippin new. No wear anywhere except a few minor surface scratches around the AC/Heater control that can only be seen in the sun at the right angle. The foot pedals show zero wear. Thirdly, I checked the manufacture date on the tires. 5205 was the code. 52nd week of 2005. Although the tires show no evidence of cracking or dry rotting. This here was a home run hit for me. The miles seem absolutely true. I also have the full maintenance record from the dealer it was bought at. The previous owner took it there once a year for an oil change and inspection. Miles and date recorded. Carfax had only 1 entry. it was at 4300 miles like 3 years ago. The car sat forever. I'm just curious if anyone has any thoughts on my investigation. Call me a mechanical hypochondriac, but in my mind, I figured the dealer made up all those service records and rolled back the odometer. The underside of the car is clean expect for cobwebs. Any input or thoughts is appreciated.

You're a freakin' conspiracy nutjob. Yeah, they rolled the odometer back and found vintage unworn tires to install on it. .

I have an idea, I'll give you $10K for the car. It's really not a low miler like you said and there is obviously something to hide. Wait, make it $8K.

Yeah holly balls! It Takes at least 60k to tighten exhaust valves! I will give you $12k though.

If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck, feels like a duck,.....................

Nice find. Even though the tires don't show rot or cracks, with that age, I would seriously consider replacing them especially before winter. Rubber does change for the worse with age. That car is worth have decent tires on it.
