It's not crazy if a UOA supports it, but you likely won't see that mileage in a year and you should change it at least once a year irregardless of mileage anyways.. 7.5k should be no problem on Amsoil oil, anything better than the XL line anyways.. but use UOAs to be sure.

DO NOT use syn. oil in freshly rebuilt motor or the ring, seals can never seat itself/breaks in.

valvoline's product is top notch and widely availble, that's my choice when it comes to motor oil.

Your best to use a 5W40 synthetic especially if your always in hot temperatures. You can use it on the street as well as on the track.

Amsoil Euro formula 5W40 is not as good as the standard 5W30 or 10W30.
When you compare the oils side by side, the Euro formula doesn't measure up. You really don't need a 40 weight oil in the S2000 unless you live in Death Valley (or where the temp stays above 100F for extended periods) or you track your car in the summer. In that case - I'd use Amsoil's straight 10W40.
Comparisons:

NOACK (% oil lost per volume - lower is better)
5W30: 7.1
10W30: 5.4
Euro Formula 5W40: 8.9

4 Ball wear test (wear scar in mm - lower is better):
5W30: 0.35
10W30: 0.35
5W40: 0.44

TBN (Higher number is better):
5W30: 12.2
10W30: 12.2
5W40: 8.0
