I've got a 2001, S2000, with 2300 miles on it, so far I've had to add about 1qt. of oil to the engine, is this normal? Thanks, Eddie

 

Yes, the car can have high consumption until the rings seat. Check it every gas stop and top off with a premium 10W30. Some engines and break-in regimes seat the rings quickly while others may take over 6K miles, but oil use should taper off and stop.

I had to add 2.5 quarts during the first 2000 miles too. Check your oil very frequently. I checked mine every morning before I left for work during my first 8000 miles. You'd be amazed how much oil the engine can consume in one day when you VTEC frequently.
