P0410 code only on cold starts. Whats the fix?
Hey guys so I recently brought the car back to stock after being turbocharged for about a year. Car is running great, but I keep getting my check engine light on cold starts , connected my OBD scanner and code is P0410 . I know it has to do with the air pump assembly. Weird thing is once I clear the code with my OBD scanner, the code does not return for the remainder of the day. The code only pops up on the first start of the day (cold start). When I clear the code, I hear a click like if the air pump turned on or maybe off. Not sure what to do from here. Everything looks connected properly. Hoping Billman can chime in on this one.

Ill check and see if theres a clog somewhere. Its weird when I first start the car theres no check engine light. Its about 30 seconds to 1 minute after the car has been on that the light appears. Once I clear it , it wont come back till the next morning when I start the car from a cold start .

I used the helm manual to troubleshoot the air pump system, it seem to be the air pump relay since it measures no continuity with a volt meter. I want to be sure its just that and the air pump isnt the problem to. Any way I can wire up direct power to the air pump to see if it turns on? Also, can the relay alone be purchased from honda or do you have to by the whole air pump assembly to get a new relay?

Yes you can wire up the pump directly and see if it works, it's a pretty strong motor though (think the fuse is 60A) so keep that in mind.
Not sure if you can get just the relay from Honda but I would suggest try the sale section here instead.
Lots of people remove the air pump system completely and you could probably get these parts pretty cheap.

Check vacuum hoses too. I had this exact same issue - I would get the cel - my air pump would shut off - then when I cleared the code, the moment it cleared the pump would click back on. I found an unplugged vacuum hose underneath the intake manifold......plugged it in - no more cel and the pump is working great! Check there!

Yes its a electrical fault. I think a vac issue would be p0411 not p0410 correct? Billman have you heard of the relay going bad on its own while the air pump is still ok? or do they both go bad when once one of the two fail? I just ordered a relay, lets see if that does it, as my relay did not have continuity when testing by the helm manual.
