www.obd-2.com is where I got the code. I have an OBD-2 scanner that can tell the difference between the OBD-1 code (MIL?) and Company Specific Codes. P(Powertrain)1(Honda Specific)519(Evap Core) is the code I get. 519 does not show up as a standard code in the manual. I had to look it up online.

A few more pieces of information. It only happens in the morning. The colder and foggier, the longer the problem lasts. I can reset the code after the car warms up and sits for a second. The problem goes away. I haven't had time to look at it, but I'm leaning toward the MAP sensor. One thing that still bothers me is why I get an A/C code, but with obvious engine problems.

I have rechecked the installation. I have retorqued all of the bolts. I untorqued and sequentially retorqued the 2 spring bolts that connect the cat. The first O2 sensor was reinstalled OK. The second O2 sensor is on the cat and wasn't touched.

I did install a new stereo. The only line that runs near the evap core is the amp power. All of the speakers run back along the door to the spare tire cubby. I'll check the connector, but I don't think I touched anything.

If the scanner I have is not going to work, is there someone in the Southbay/Penninsula that is willing to hook up a full-featured diag scanner in exchange for a case of beer?

Nevermind about the scan. I broke down and bought a full scanner. They were cheaper than I thought.

P1519 corresponds to "Idle Air Control Valve Circuit Failure"
Go to page 11-83 in the Helm manual for Trouble-Shooting Procedure
GOOD LUCK

Bob, the code is actually referenced on Page 11-8, second to the last line of the table.

11-89 is where P1519 is referenced in the 2000/2001 Helms manual. I ran out of time this morning. Got to step 7. 23Kohm. I don't know if I got a good ground, so I am going to try it again tomorrow morning. The problem goes away when the car heats up. I have a sinking suspicion that the sensor needs to be replaced.
