Hi Guys, i couldnt find any help over at my local s2000 forum so help is appreciated here!

a week back, was driving with quite some traffic.. then out of nowhere, the CEL turns up. problem is that, my car jerks BADLY especially when you let off the throttle.. and when you depress fully on the throttle, i revs up slowly and gives you a special rev-cut at 4.5k rpm..

when to a garage and had the CEL checked, it says P2138 error code, had some research and found out it was a throttle position sensor error.. so i went to change a J's Racing Throttle Body hoping that it could fix the problem.. after installation, it runs fine for about 100km. The trouble just keeps coming back..

could anyone please share their solution or suggest any to me?

reset your ECU if you havent done that yet and also search "map whack". That should resolve your issue. GL

 

thanks for your kinda reply.. i have resetted the the battery, and also did MAP sensor cleaning. but the problem still persist...

have anyone met this problem yet?

i just had this issue today..

as i was accelerating from a light...all my indicator lights flashed on...but the car didnt stall or bog..i pull over..shut off the car, restart it and all the lights are gone except the CEL light. car drives fine, however i take it easy till i get home to read the code. i got the p2138...did a search and it turns out it has something to do with the DBW system. i didnt think much of it..so i cleared the code and it hasnt come back since.

if you do a search of p2138 on google...a lot of the results will link you to the acurazine website and nissan 350z website...both cars have DBW. in the worse case scenario, the entire pedal assembly or throttle body had to be replaced because of faulty sensors..
