Default P2647 CEL CODE! 2005 AP2 74k miles

I recently noticed that I was missing oil from my engine so I investigated the problem and found out that I had an oil leak coming from my VTEC Oil Pressure Switch that was broken. So I went to autozone and bought the part and replaced it and a few days later the CEL came back on and I pulled the P2647 code. I just replaced this part. Any advice?

Did you clear the original CEL code?

No, I did not. I couldn't clear it because the CEL turned off like 2 min after I replaced the part so I figured that that should be all I needed. However, I just cleared the code and it turned off, obviously, but now every time I turn on my ignition my CEL blinks a few times before turning off. Is that normal after clearing the codes?

Do you have access to an OBDII reader that can scan history and clear codes? If not, perhaps reset the car by removing battery cable for a few minutes. Be sure to have the code for your radio (if it's OEM).

Good luck!

I borrowed an obd2 scanner and cleared the codes and reset the ecu and the CEL went away. So I went for a little drive and about five minutes later the CEL came back on with the same code.

Do you have an ODBII reader that explains what the CEL means?

Yes, it says;

1. Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Switch

Sounds like VTEC is stuck on? You have the solenoid wired correctly?
