Default Passenger window broke....

Tonight when I was raising the window, I heard a click and the window dropped back down. Now I can't get the window to go back up. It sits there freely. I popped off the door panel to inspect and found a metal cord with a little knob at the end lying around. When I try to operate the switch, there's only a very slight movement from the cord. Would this be related to the window regulator? Is there a diagram that shows the window assembly that I can refer to? I'm guessing that I need to take it in to the dealer service department perhaps. Anyone able to help? Thanks!

Sounds like the regulator came apart. It is usually not fixable without getting a new reg.

On most cars....it will come with the guides, cable routed and intact, you just bolt it in.

The window regulator is broken, and you can't fix them. Replacement is your only option.
