Default Passport Radar

Where is the best place to hardwire the radar detector? I had it in the fusebox thats by the battery but I kept getting false alarms and laser going off. Also when my rpm reached 9k , laser would go off as well. So my question is , where is the spot to connect the positive wire for the hardwiring. If anyone could post an engine pic with it circled or something , it would be of great help. Waitin on a reply and thanks in advance.

I used this site when I was installing my 9500i. What escort do you have I've never heard of that happening before. The only thing I know of that causes falses are the variable cruise control feature on Inifinitis.

Problem with that is that the radar wont turn off by itself when the car gets turned off.

There is a ignition on 12V power source in the under dash fuse box.

You need to search in the electronics forum.

Use an "add-a-circuit"

I've left my radar in the car for years, then again I dont live in LA like you do. Pretty safe here in Houston and I do put my top up when i park in public places anyway.
