Hey guys I did some searching and have heard mixed reviews as to whether or not the Penzoil Synchromesh you can find at Autozone is as good as the GM Synchromesh that people rave about. I'm looking to change my Transmission Fluid tomorrow and unfortunately the Honda parts store is closed because its Sunday so I can't get Honda MTF. Is it worth waiting until next weekend to get the Honda MTF or is the Penzoil Syncromesh a good alternative?

I use it with no real complaints, it won't blow your mind but it'll give u what u need.

 

I've used it, it works fine.

 

the gm syncromesh is actually made by penzoil anyway, so it is basically the same fluid. i ran gm syncromesh and penzoil syncromesh in my da9 w/ jdm b18c & b16 trans that grinded in 3rd and both helped take away the grind and smooth the shifting equally.

 

Thanks for the input guys! I went ahead and did Mobil 1 75w-90 for the diff and Penzoil Synchromesh for the MTF
