I'm also wondering what the result would be. For a throttle body, it's quite pricey so I'm very curious about the results.

I don't think it should be a huge gain... but you may already know this.
The increased bore size may affect air velocity (speed) at lower speeds, much like having a larger diameter garden hose will affect water pressure negatively but will allow more water to flow. Of course once the engine starts to spin at much higher rpms, the engine will breathe easier (especially if used with a good CAI) and may provide a few extra horses near the power peak.

Then again there's the butt-o-meter that cannot be explained by the dyno. Please be sure to post an update with your findings on your upcoming mod!

yes, what Hyper-X said. mabey it'll help FI car's better. What i have noticed after the install and went for the drive... I felt a slight gain, but not too much thats like "whoa!" I had my header and aem intake at the time. Also it did make the intake whistle a lil bit louder. It could be me, but i checked for leaks, replaced the gasket, and torqued everything evenly; yup everything is okay. Thanks to speeeding for the awsome price and torqe specs info. The most i've seen it go for is around 700, i got mine for a great deal around 400 +/-50 a long time ago. i guess it was a clearance thing going on.

I have it and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The throttle response on my car was impressive.

I did the Pro-Flow core exchange when it first came out. So I was only out a $100 or so. I don't think I would do this if I had to spend $400-$500. I would just pull my TB and overnight to Pro-Flow and have them overnight mine back to me. You would be without a car for a few days, but you would have the same product for a lot less money. I think they only charge $150 to rebore a stock one. IMHO this is the way to go. Do a search for Pro-Flow.

...and that's it. HP gains are very minimal.
