OPAK Racing in CA is the authorized US distributor of SPOON SPORTS parts. AJ is in Canada and was the only authorized North American distributor. Check out www.opakracing.com

I have the Spoon throttle body. I was going to fit it today but when I started to remove some of the pipes going to the original throtle body one/two(?) of them appeared to contain coolant.

Is the throttle body heated by cooling system?

Will I have to drain the engine cooling system to change the throttle body?

Chris.

The TB is heated via the cooling system that runs to the bottom of the inlet. If you back trace it, it comes from the head, goes through that metal rollercoaster of piping, then into the TB, out the driver's side, then into the side of the intake manifold to another nest of piping, then it goes down under the intake back into the engine.

You don't need to drain the cooling system, but you may want to have containers ready for when it spills out a little. I live in Hawaii so removing this was fine with me, but if you're from a snow-capable climate, you may want to think it over.
