When referring to horse power, I hear all these terms.
What's the difference between HP, BHP, WHP and PS?

Will the new Civic Type R (fixed-up) be faster than the S2000?

S2K Fan-

HP- horsepower.

BHP- brake horsepower- measured at the flywheel.

WHP- wheel horsepower- street lingo. I've never seen the term "WHP" used in a technical race journal. Not an accurate gauge of power, too many variables to consider- +/- 5-10 BHP readings on a dynojet chassis dynometer due to different tiedown methods are not uncommon.

PS- metric horsepower.

There are many books on the subject available at bookstores around the country. I suggest you look them up to get a beter understanding of how horsepower and torque interact and what is important to you.

Fixed up is a relative term....an S2000 fixed up (i.e. SC) would squash it like a bug.
