Default pistons which ones ?

I know I can only run certain pistons in the factory block without getting sleeves. My question is what kind of after market pistons can I run in the factory block without getting sleeves? I know I can run factory piston so if that is my only option where can I get .20 over factory pistons. I am asking because I have some marks in my cylinder number 4 that may be too deap to hone out. I will put pictures up soon. Thanks guys.

^^ You will need to re-sleeve regardless. Same thing happened to me. After the block came back from the machine shop, we dropped in some Arias forged high comp units.

looks like this is the same 4 cylinder scoring issue that many else have had. I guess this wouldnt be covered unless the car is under warranty, I wonder if I need a new block, I hope not, or sleeves there pretty pricey too.

Tell me about it. The 6 Gs' I saved up for the turbo ended up being used to rebuild the engine.

It depends how bad it is, which is obviously impossible to tell from the pic. FRM cylinders can be re-honed withing certain limits but it is a time consuming and costly job and not one which just anyone can do. You will want to use someone reputable and who has experience of the FRM technology/requirements.

Take a look at what is involved in re-honing a FRM cylinder in the link below

Anyone of the shops below should be able advise you on the best course of action or do the job.
