About two days ago my s2000 started making a grinding noise around 3000 rpm, and it now drops rpms and recovers when i stop at a light, what can be causing this noise? heres a link to a video of it grinding http://youtu.be/la-ivg1nyLY

Any advice will be greatly appreciated! i heard that a common issues is a bad TCT, though i am not sure if a bad TCT is what causing this noise.

That's not tct noise. I'm not sure if it's more of a rattle or a grind. I'm assuming it's more of a rattle, I have no idea what can grind at 3000rpm. Mmm I have no suggestions.. Maybe have someone Rev up the engine while you pin point the noise. Sounds like something is loose and rattles at that certain vibration of 3000rpms.

 

Thanks! i heard it ay be my valves that need to be fixed, hopefully it isnt so severe
